Vom Vatikan aus setzte ich meine Rom-Wanderung fort und sah - neben vielen anderen Attraktionen - den Pasquino (eine der "sprechenden Statuen", an denen die Bürger früher anonym Beschwerdebotschaften anbrachten, in denen sie sich über die Obrigkeit ausließen), das Pantheon, das Forum Romanum (das frühere Herz des Alten Rom) und den Bocca della Verita, von dem man Nachbildungen auf vielen Jahrmärkten sieht. Der Sage nach schließt sich der Mund der Fratze, wenn man die Hand hineinhält und lügt.
