The weather was changing regularly from rain to sunshine, but when we finally started our hike it had stopped raining,
and after walking a while everybody started peeling off their rain clothes. The good thing about the rainy weather
before the afternoon was that only few people were on the track, so we could feel like climbing a mountain rather
than queueing for a tourist attraction as we had heard before. Nevertheless, we could already feel the decreasing amount
of oxygen and air pressure. But Estella lead us at a nice pace, not too fast to get exhausted, but fast enough not
to get cold - and to reach our hut for overnight stay before the huge Japanese group we met on the way (and that we
feared could occupy the whole hut and leave us without accommodation).
After sunset it got really cold outside, so we
spent our time in the hutch cooking a really delicious dinner (amazing what a wide variety of food is available in
instant version, dried and in plastic). Then we went to our cozy 8-persons-per-bed sleeping compartment and had a more
or less relaxing sleep until 1 o'clock in the morning.
