Climbing Fujisan, 31.08.-01.09.2007

From the summit to the 5th station

Descending from the summit of Fujisan was supposed to be much faster and easier than ascending. Well, it took us about 3 1/2 hours to get down (Mauricio and Ed were a little faster driven by their thirst for cold beer), but walking down 10 or more kilometers on a steep track can be quite a torture for feet and knees, specially as there were no mountain huts to have a rest. Nevertheless, it was quite fun to walk into the clouds (and rain hanging in the air from above), and the beer and lunch down at fifth station were really something special.
